Who are the People of St. John’s?
St. John’s United Methodist Church is full of everyday, ordinary people of all ages. We come from various traditions and places and strive together to learn about God, to support one another, and to reach out and help those in our community and world as a response to the love shown to us through the grace of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
We love, because God first loved us and continues to call us to live in joy, hope, and certainty that God’s love will survive all things. On the other hand, we sometimes have “clay feet,” which means that none of us is perfect. There is a lot of pain and loss in the world, some of it inflicted by us or on us. But we face our hurts and mess-ups honestly, knowing that Christ stands by, ready to love and forgive us in spite of ourselves.
We firmly believe that with Christ at our side, working together we can make a difference in the world. So we move forward, knowing that our presence in the community of Kingman offers hope to everyone who is searching.
By the grace and love of God, all that we have is offered to you…will you join us?
