Update on "Oasis Resolution"

In Matthew 25:35-36, 40, Jesus teaches: “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing.  I was sick and you took care of me … just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”

We are continuing to be in contact with the Boys & Girls Club, in Kingman to assist the homeless youth in our community.  In the Fall of 2010, we supplied backpacks and blankets to them via the Boys & Girls Club and are in touch with Noreen Frisch, the Director on a regular basis to find out their needs.

During the months of March and April 2011, the Mission Team, as well as help from the congregation, plan to have a collection of food items for individual use.  These items include juice boxes, granola bars, cheese & crackers, flip-top cans of beans-n-franks, spaghetti, peanut butter and many other items.  We will have baskets set up in our Fellowship Hall to collect the food.

The Boys & Girls Club will be entering a contest to help fight hunger during March & April.  We will join them in the "2011 - 14th Annual $1 Million Giveaway."  These donations can include cash, checks and food items (valued at $1 per item or pound).  Items collected will be given to the Boys & Girls Club for distribution to the homeless youth in our community.

Call the church office at (928) 692-8828 and leave a message for Shirley Hiestand, Coordinator, or any of our team members:  Curt Arrants, Linda Chevalier, Dick Trigg, Dave Kopecky, Bob Simmons or Pastor Pam Wagner.

Thank you very much!
