UMY Planning
It’s always a challenge for me to come up with program ideas that the youth are interested in. So this Sunday we will talk about some old favorites and try to figure out some new things to do in Youth Group for 2012. The meal will be Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and
Tomato Soup.
February 12
Valentine’s Cards for
the Gardens
Valentine’s Day is on the 14th so the plan is to create some Valentines cards and then take them to the Gardens to hand out to the residents there. These cards will be all handmade so try to think up some catchy (or cheesy) phrases to write on the cards. The meal will be French Bread Pizza.
February 19
President’s Weekend No UMY
This is the weekend that we honor our presidents. Since this is a three-day holiday weekend, there won’t be any Youth Group today. There will be Sunday School though.
February 26
Forgiveness
Forgiving our enemies is one of the hardest things we have to do as Christians. It’s especially hard if Today we will watch two VegieTales videos; The Grapes of Wrath and Larry’s Lagoon; and discuss forgiveness. The meal will be Taco Salad and if there’s enough time left we will play the Lava Pit game.
